We did his in 2020 when the world shut down. Getting materials in a timely manner was a challenge,
it was a 55 plus year old community, so many neighbors werw very concerned with COVID and we had to mind our P's and Q's
to keep them happy.
Also, it was a post-stressed concrete slab which we don't see much of around here, so this led to some
minor challenges when it came time to build her zero-clearance shower in the master bath. We had to jackhammer through concrete
and there was a post-tension cable right in our way!
The chimney is made from thin stone. It's real stone that is cut to about 1" thick. It is installed much
like stucco as far as wall preperation goes. We didn't have room to fit her TV in the custom designed and built cabinet to the
right of the chimney if we had gone with standard 4" stone.
